Export and import now support creation and modification dates, preserving them when transferring notes.
Other improvements:

・Refined screen designs for better readability.
These changes also prepare CountNote for major upcoming features.
Stay tuned for future updates! 82.3 20h ago Improved an issue where the output screen could take longer to load for notes containing many line breaks and blank lines. 82.2 Oct 4 Improved an issue where some disabled buttons were difficult to see. 82.1 Oct 4 You can now share your stats
We’ve added a new “Share” button next to “View Progress” on the Stats screen.
With this small button, you can create images and text optimized for sharing on social media.
Give the Share button a try!
From there, you can choose the period you’d like to share and preview exactly what will be included before sharing.
We’ve often seen CountNote users take screenshots of their stats, remove the banner, and share them on social media.
Seeing this made us think that having a dedicated way to share your stats more beautifully and easily could add a little more fun to each day—whether you want to share your daily progress with someone or simply keep it as a record for yourself. That idea inspired us to create this feature.
We also put a lot of care into the details, hoping this feature might help bring CountNote users a little closer together. We’d be happy if it even becomes a small conversation starter.
We hope you’ll give it a try and share your progress! 82.0 Sep 30 We’ve made the following visual improvements.
・Adjusted the rounded corners of the Statistics charts to better match standard OS charts.
・Made selectable items easier to identify when duplicating a workspace.
・Updated some screens with a card-based design for better readability. 81.9 Sep 29 We’ve redesigned some screens to create a more consistent look and feel throughout the app.
We’ve also made various minor improvements and updated the app’s internal components. 81.8 Sep 28 We refined the design down to the smallest details to make the app even more pleasant to use.
In this update, we reviewed all 77 or so icons and images used throughout the app, carefully adjusting line thickness, spacing, and overall balance.
To create a more consistent look across the entire app, we placed all the images side by side and reviewed them together, making fine adjustments down to individual pixels.
Because these are elements you see almost every day, we hope these small touches of comfort will help the app blend naturally into your daily life.
We also redesigned several screens to make them clearer and easier to use.
In addition, we reviewed the backup restoration process and improved it to make restoring your data more stable than before. 81.7 Sep 23 We’ve reorganized the Settings screen to make it easier to navigate and use.
We’ve also carefully refined the various screens within Settings to improve overall usability.
We’ve also redesigned 11 in-app icons in this update.
Fine-tuning the details takes time, but we’re carefully crafting each one.
Throughout September and October, we’ll continue focusing on refining these small details throughout the app. 81.6 Sep 20 We’ve added more customization options under “Display & Controls” in Settings.
We’ve also improved the display in Dark Mode and made some layout improvements. 81.5 Sep 15 Fixed an issue where selected items might not display correctly when scrolling while multiple items are selected in the folder or note list.
We’ve also improved stability to provide a more reliable experience. 81.4 Sep 11 We’ve redesigned the menus to make CountNote easier and smoother to use.
You can now reach features with fewer steps, with improved visibility, tap reliability, and performance.

You can also move the cursor while paused and resume reading from the new position, with additional refinements focused on ease of use. 81.1 Sep 7 Writing Assist has been expanded and improved with new features.

A dedicated template screen has been added, making it easier to use, add, and edit templates.

When you insert a template from Writing Assist, the keyboard stays open, allowing you to continue writing without interrupting your flow.
We have also made various improvements to overall visibility and usability throughout the app. 80.0 Aug 31 We’ve made major improvements to the search and replace feature.
Previously, “Find Text” and “Replace Text” were available from the search/replace icon at the bottom of the screen. They are now combined into a single “Find and Replace” option in the “More (…)” menu at the top right of the editing screen.
In addition to replacing all matches at once, you can now review each match and replace them one by one.
We also paid close attention to details such as highlighting and displaying the number of matches.
Text conversion, such as changing uppercase letters to lowercase and vice versa, is still available from the bottom of the screen. You can now review each match and convert them one by one as well.
A search feature has also been added to read-only mode, making it easier to find specific parts of long notes without editing them.
We had been planning and preparing this feature for quite some time, so we’re relieved to finally bring it to life.
We’ve put a lot of care into the finer details and overall usability. We hope you’ll give it a try. 79.0 Aug 26 Added a new bookmark feature.
You can add the current paragraph to your bookmarks from the “More (…)” menu or the clip menu on the editing screen.

version 80.3
posted on 2026-09-04
Version History Adjusted the background colors and font sizes of modal screens to improve readability. 80.3 5h ago Recent improvements to the search feature made it possible to replace individual matches. We’ve now further improved Find and Replace so you can continue using it the way you did before as well.
• You can review search results one by one and replace only the matches you need.
• While using Find and Replace, tap the text to exit Find and Replace mode and edit the text directly while keeping the search results highlighted.
• Tap the Close button in the upper-left corner to exit Find and Replace and remove the search result highlights.
You can now choose between replacing individual matches and the previous workflow of reviewing search results while editing the text directly, depending on your needs. 80.2 2d ago Minor fixes have been made. 80.1 3d ago Templates have been significantly improved.
A dedicated template screen has been added, making it easier to use, add, and edit templates.
You can now also set a title for each template, making them easier to organize and use like a dictionary.
“Templates” has also been added to the Writing Assist menu.
When you insert a template from Writing Assist, the keyboard stays open, allowing you to continue writing without interrupting your flow.
We have also made various improvements to overall visibility and usability throughout the app. 80.0 3d ago We’ve made major improvements to the search and replace feature.
You can view your saved bookmarks from the “More (…)” menu. Select a bookmark to quickly jump to the paragraph where it was added.
When you jump to a bookmark, the screen automatically scrolls to the target paragraph and temporarily highlights it, making it easy to see where you landed.
The free plan allows up to 3 bookmarks per note. With Premium, you can add unlimited bookmarks. 78.0 Aug 23 We've added "Custom Colors" as a Premium feature.
In addition to the standard colors, you can now freely choose your favorite colors from the color map and apply them to your notes and folders.
Selected custom colors are saved under "Recently Used Colors," so you can quickly reuse your favorite colors.
You can also manage recently used colors from the History screen, where you can add, delete, and reorder color codes. Organize frequently used colors in the order that works best for you, or enter color codes directly to add multiple colors at once.
Make your everyday notes uniquely yours with your own colors.
Try organizing your notes and folders with your favorite colors. 77.0 Aug 14 Fixed an issue where the cursor position or scroll position in a note might not be restored correctly after leaving and returning to the app. 76.5 Aug 13 Made minor improvements and fixes. 76.4 Aug 10 Improved the rendering process of the memo screen to fix display and scrolling issues that could occur in certain environments. 76.3 Jul 22 Fixed an issue where the scroll position or cursor position could occasionally return to the beginning after returning to the app from the background. 76.2 Jul 21 We’ve added a notification before your free trial ends.
To help prevent situations where you start a trial thinking, “I’ll give it a try,” but accidentally forget the end date, users who haven’t used the free trial yet can now receive a notification one day before the trial ends.
You can choose whether to turn the notification on or off before starting your free trial. Enjoy trying out all the Premium features with peace of mind.
We’ve also made some minor improvements. 76.1 Jul 19 We’ve added a notification before your free trial ends.
76.0 Jul 18 Improved the note move and copy features.
When moving only notes to a folder, you can now choose between “Copy” and “Move.”
Also, when moving or copying multiple notes to a folder, or moving or copying notes from a folder back to the main notes list, the original list order is now preserved instead of using the order in which the notes were selected. 75.0 Jul 13 Fixed an issue where half-width and full-width spaces could not be searched using the search feature. 74.0 Jul 12 Fixed an issue where parts of long memos may not be exported correctly when exporting to PDF or printing.
We also improved the Premium feature explanation screen.
The differences between the free version and the Premium version are now easier to compare, and the available features are easier to understand. 73.0 Jul 8 Added support for moving folders in the folder hierarchy feature.
Previously, the folder hierarchy feature supported moving memos, but moving folders themselves was not yet supported.
With this update, you can now move existing folders into other folders, or move subfolders back to a higher level.
Because folder moving requires parent-child relationships and hierarchical structures to be maintained correctly, we rolled out this support in stages after releasing the unlimited folder feature.
You can now organize folders more flexibly, so we hope you enjoy using it.
Also fixed an issue where body text might not appear when exporting PDFs while using dark mode. 72.0 Jul 6 Fixed an issue where the memo input screen inside folders could become unable to scroll on some devices.

We reorganized the internal structure and improved the stability of display and input behavior.
We also made adjustments to support future feature improvements and quality enhancements. 67.0 Jul 1 Improved the folder export and import features.
Fixed an issue where some notes inside folders might not appear as export targets when using the folder hierarchy feature.
Fixed an issue where the app would not start from the folder tab after restarting, even if the folder tab was selected last. 66.0 Jun 20 Improved the folder list display.
The root folder now shows only the total character count, while subfolders show both the total character count and the folder name.
Also fixed an issue where the display order could become unstable for some data after folder hierarchy support was added. 65.0 Jun 14 Thank you all very much for your patience.
At last, we have added what can truly be called one of CountNote’s headline features:
unlimited folder hierarchy.
This has been one of the most frequently requested features in CountNote.
To everyone who has been waiting for this for so long, thank you very much.
“Please let us create folders inside folders.”
This request may sound simple,
but for CountNote, it was a much bigger development challenge than it may appear.
Because CountNote is designed so that users can organize content while moving between tabs (Memos and Folders),
we needed to review a wide range of areas,
including list display, search, moving items, sort order, usability, performance,
and even the internal structure so the app can continue to expand safely in the future.
In fact, preparation for this feature had been underway little by little for quite some time.
The search enhancements we have continued to make over the past three years
also served as groundwork
so that the app would remain comfortable to use
even when folder hierarchies become deeper in the future.
And now,
we have made it possible to add folders freely with no limit to the number of levels.
For example:
“Novels” → “By Work” → “By Chapter”
“Work” → “By Project” → “Reference Materials” / “In Progress” / “Archive”
“Study” → “By Subject” → “By Unit”
In this way, you can organize things more naturally
to match the way you actually use the app.
Even as your memos and folders increase,
information is less likely to get mixed together,
and you will be able to reach the content you need more quickly.
This unlimited folder hierarchy feature
marks a major milestone for CountNote.
After a long period of preparation,
I am truly very happy as the developer
to finally deliver it to all of you.
Please note that this feature is available only in Premium.
We created it as a feature that offers especially strong value
for those who write a large number of memos every day
or want to manage works and materials in greater depth.
Thank you very much to all of you who have supported us for so long.
We will continue improving the app
so that it becomes even easier to use.
We hope you will try the new unlimited folder hierarchy feature. 64.0 Jun 8
